gps is based on satellites therefore it works anywhere in the world.

I know quite a bit about GPS, but have no idea what a "GPS Navagation Facility" is??? The gps system that has been put in place by the United States is exactly what it says, a Global Posutioning System. There are 24 or so satellites around the entire globe that transmit signals worlwide to anyone on the ground or in the air that has an appropriate receiver. And that receiver is not espensive. They can be purchased as low as about $100 US for some models. Most cell phones today include a GPS receiver as well. Any of these can be used anyplace on the planet that has an open view of the sky. The only location based limit on the usefullness of a particular gps receiver is the local maps that are loaded in the unit. Most units are loaded with a set of road maps for a particular country or region. Even without maps loaded for a region, all GPS's will provide you with the latitude and longitude data for your current location, and that information can be referenced to any map that you have. Most gps units will also give you an altitude, speed and direction of movement output as well as a universal time output based on the satellite's exteremely accurate clocks. The GPS service itself is free and available to anyone worldwide. The difference between what signals are available to the public and what is available to the US government is in regard to accuracy. Bottom line is that the public accessible accuracy is somewhere on the order of 3 to 10 meters while the Government version is probably under 1M in accuracy. Pretty darn good for a free service that anyone can use!

you will probably have to buy an adapter for their voltage
2 :
Their voltage is 240. However, most Macs are dual voltage (check your manual to be sure), so all you'll need will be a plug adapter.

What are the tax implications if my company outsources software dev. work to India or Pakistan

What are the tax implications if my company outsources software dev. work to India or Pakistan?
When filing for taxes, how do I show expenses, what documents do I need from the foreign company. Does anyone recommend a good accountant who deals with this in New Jersey.

You are hurting your own citizens and neighbors, I hope you enjoy the tax breaks!

The tax implications are that eventually you will pay less taxes, because your sales will drop, because no American's will be working to buy your products. Just ask any of the Big 3 automakers what happens when you move your suppliers to other countries.

Exactly how does your company outsourcing to India affect you personally? If you traveled there on business, don't you report your expenses to your employer and then they reimburse you? Reimbursed expenses are generally not taxed as income unless you've been working outside your home state for at least a year. In general, to claim business expenses you'd have to complete Schedule A: Itemized Deductions. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f1040sab.pdf http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/i1040sa.pdf And for the rest of you whining about outsourcing, he personally doesn't get any tax breaks because his employer outsources. For that matter, neither does his employer. And I don't see people buying any less because of it. Do you even know which companies outsource and which don't?
