My cousin is in PUNJAB INDIA and he wants to get a Australian Visa for work, so he can slowly get a permenant residence card there, and permentally live there, so far the people there want Rs.900,000 and I was wondering can you help me get the Visa in a better way thats FASTER and EASIER.

There is no fast easy way,you can not just get one right away.You have to pass all the necessary requirements,Australia wont let just anyone in. He will have to wait his turn like everyone else that wants to live here

We want to go to Goa. Have a decent budget and don't want to stay anywhere rubbish. But we want wicked beaches and good food. We will be ther in the middle of April, will this be a problem as the season finished in March?

http://www.thezurihotels.com/retreat-goa/ - we stayed at this hotel in South Goa and it is fantastic...book bed & breakfast though as the food outside the hotel and at the beach shacks - is cheap and very, very good. everything in the Hotel - drinks included is expensive...but the hotel is well worth staying at....very plush indeed! the season doesn't finish until May...so you will be ok in April. i have a review & photo on the Trip Advisor website...if you search the hotel you will see it. good luck - India is fantastic and you will love it...although - you'll need a Tourist Visa so don't forget that.

Just call Cingular and ask. Im pretty sure it doesnt matter. I have an iphone but before you can use it you have to activate it via telephone with Cingular. So call them, tell em you wanna activate it, and give them the serial no. and stuff.

It will have to be unlocked. Anyway if you buy it from the US you will have to sign a 2 year contract to AT&T. The iPhone also can not be ordered from online (from the US) so basically there is no escaping the 2 year contract.

It doesn't really matter what your background is. You just need to have the equivalent of a bachelors degree (B.A. or B.S.) and take the LSAT (maybe TOESL, but I don't think so for an Indian). There is no prerequisite study or background to go to law school in the U.S. Once you graduate, you take the bar exam in the state you want to practice, and you're done. The main difficulty is paying for law school, because it is VERY expensive and much of the financial aid would not be available since much of it is government based for U.S. citizens.

sedu straightening iron can work in India?
I have Sedu straightening iron and I would be travelling to India for some time. Can I use it there since they have different voltage system? Also, is it safe if i use the voltage converting adaptor there...what are other options. Thanks

Check out the Global Blackberry 8830! They are red or silver if you have verizon and they take a sim card, i'm pretty sure most carriers have a version of this phone.

Unlocked means that it can use a SIM card from any mobile phone company in the world. Trinidad's bmobile, UK's O2. USA's AT&T. etc. Most GSM phones can be unlocked. Though this depends on the phone. So whatever phone you get in the States, as long as its unlocked should work in India.

Don't be worried. If you will be staying in a hotel, in the bathrooms in India they have a 110 outlet. If you will not be at a hotel, then in the bazaar there, you can get a step down converter for under $10 easily. Or you can just buy a hair iron in India for under $20. I am very influenced by Indians knowledge and how they hold maximum high profile jobs in USA. And I am aware of the problems what India is facing as its a Developing Nation. I want to work for India, for there Illetracy ,poverty, unpriviledged childrens and all, Please help me, to know what all Organizations can I contact in USA to work in India, as I have heard of AIF,UN,UNICEF Who else can I contact? First contact RAW - the Indian equivalent of CIA, if you are a forienger. I am a Hindu, born, raised and living in India. I had the chance to meet 2 such well wishers, one was a caucasian lady from southafrica, who wanted the bathymetry of certain ports in south india; the other was a french national, also stated to be living in africa, who wanted to study black pepper cultivation and plantation activities. I didnt hand them over to the RAW, but I didnt allow them to take what they were really after.

However I must add that our honourable incumbent president has done some really great work in igniting the minds of people, it would be great if you can come down and help people do the same. Some formalities may be there, but remember that Indians are very warm people to foreigners. If you can make a group here to work with that would be great. Further once you would be though with the formalities, you will have access to the world's largest democracy with a mind boggling variety of people. So be prepared for some exceptions here. In my view coming here and working in NGOs is very common and it happens quite frequently. The most challenging thing is to think one step ahead: India is developing at an exceptional rate. If you have some idea and lay foundations for some company or firm, be it any thing, you would be able to work for the betterment for INDIA in real sense. can a microwave oven purchased in US work in INDIA?
We have got a microwave oven in US.But are now returning to india. Please let me know if this model will work in INDIA .I have a doubt due to change in volatge and frequency levels of India and US.

I know nothing about the interchangeability between India and the US of telephone equipment. However, if basic wired phones from the US work in India and India runs on 120 volt 60 cycle and you have both the base unit and the headset (as you must have for it to work), then I think you will be ok.

there is no such thing as a telephone that operates within the 6.0Ghz range, at least not in the US, or anywhere in the world that I have heard of... you bought a DECT 6.0 phone... why they added the number to confuse consumers I will never know.. but these phones operate within the 1.9 Ghz range... many people have provided feedback on this forum that US phones will work in india, however the caller ID function will not work...

California, which is a border state, is the birthplace of silicon valley. Europe and india are both on the same volts, I beleive either 220 and 240. I am going on a trip to India and I would like to bring my straightner. I will have my converter so the plug in will be the same. Will this work?

The problem is in India we use Vertified tiles and marbles as flooring. Also the amount of Dust is so high than here in US! If somebody using can you provide your views?

You'd be working for an Indian company that contracts to a US firm. The only people working in India directly for the US firms are executives of the US firms traveling to India for short term business.

Actually, there are several companies that are fine with this *IF* they pay you Indian prevailing wage (IBM, for example, was in the news recently for offering this). It is highly unlikely that they'll pay you US wages while living in India. That simply does not make good economic sense.
