Would Denon 1909 receiver bought in the US work in India?
I know I would need a step down transformer for power. But would the cable signal work fine? Has anybody ever tried this? Any reason why this is not a good idea?

Electricity in India is 240 Volts, alternating at 50 Hz per second. A receiver bought in the US would be designed for 120V, 60 HZ. You would need a transformer that would convert 240V, 50 Hz to 120v, 60 Hz

No, a reciever draws too much current for a transformer to be used, if you try to plug that thing and turn it on, say byebye receiver. Only way for it to work is if you find an outlet in india that has 110- 120V, but i doubt you will because they have a country standard of 220-240v

I am getting a mobile from USA, IMATE Ultimate. Will it work in India?
My relative is bringing a mobile for me from USA. Will it work in India?

Yes it is. Your relative is bringing a mobile from USA, Then he is not a stupit person, because when he bye it. he ask them or check the posibulities that is it works there or not. If u have any doubts, then go to net and find in google.com that perticular product and more..

From technical point of view, I'm a little poor to answer your asking but so far I know, a 'mobile ph-set' is or can't be a factor whether that'll work in India or not. The main factor is whether does your 'set' allows the 'system' of your phone provider ( something like CDMA, GSM etc). It's better you immediately contact your relative who's bringing set for you & tell him to ask the seller of that set whether what system would that set support? Then, to be sure more, you better consult your service provider in India about the name, brand, model etc of the incoming set.

Do you think this opener will actually work in India?
I got this dating advice from a newsletter I subscribed to. Please tell me if it will ever really work in INDIA. When you see a girl you like and want to meet, walk up to her and ask: "Hey, I got a quick question. Do you read your horoscope?" Then ask her sign and say "Hmmm. That's interesting. Sorry man, but India is not the place to go to try to pick up lady's. Its damn near impossible

Will Roomba cleaning system work in India. Is there somebody who is using Roomba in India?
The problem is in India we use Vertified tiles and marbles as flooring. Also the amount of Dust is so high than here in US! If somebody using can you provide your views?
