I am thinking that it will be nothing different from iPhone 3G, because when I tried to order, it asks for AT&T account information. It will still be locked to AT&T and might require in-store activation just as iPhone 3G. I am waiting for some more time for someone to come up with a jailbreak. Does anyone have more information on "iPhone 3G S"? Affirmative, its still the same "Requires new two-year AT&T wireless service contract, sold separately to qualified customers; credit check required; must be 18 or older. For non-qualified customers, including existing AT&T customers who want to upgrade from another phone or replace an iPhone 3G, the price with a new two-year agreement is $499 (8GB), $599 (16GB), or $699 (32GB)"

1. you won't even be able to plug it in! you need a travel adapter for india. It will take care of the 220v issue. 2. probably not because India DVDs have a different region code (5) than US (1) and the region code has to match between the dvd and the player. most DVDs and players are region coded.

The PSU is probably universal, meaning it can probably work in Indian 240v with just a plug adapter. It will be Region 1 though, so will not play discs for your region there (Region 5 I belive), and will liekly play NTSC only discs, and NTSC only for video out.

Mind reading has not yet been invented or marketed, and I hope the first people to try become targeted by all criminals, because I think mind reading could beomce the death of freedom. Lou Dobbs (TV Anchor) web site has directory of US companies out-sourcing, not just to India. Perhaps you can help them do a better job. I imagine all companies doing business in a particular nation, at some point need to register with the government of that nation, and some nations have somewhat open records for their citizens in viewing that data. A lot of off-shoring is done via layers of sub-contractors.

Can I work in India with a PIO Card on a British Passport

Can I work in India with a PIO Card on a British Passport?
We are in the process of looking into setting up a business in India. My partner is originally from there but now on a PIO. I will be getting a PIO on my British Passport. Can we work and live in India on PIO cards? Personal experiences would be great if you have any examples!

YES you can but there are certain areas of India where you will NOT be permitted to work - I think Jammu & kashmir may be one of them, and you possibly may not be able to take a government job either. http://www.immihelp.com/nri/piocard/advantages-restrictions.html
